³Heiredity presumes the user of this tool has a work flow similar to mine. Normally I work on an image and when it is complete, I treat it as immutable. It is at that point that I would add the image to the tool as a child of another picture. If I then make changes to the image, it would become a new child and thus new image in the file system.
